As we prepare to celebrate God’s great act of love for the whole of His creation through the Incarnation, let us all try to “live simply” day by day in Advent and follow Pope Francis’s call for us to care for our common home, the earth, & all its people. Copies of 2 “alternative” Advent Calendars (for children & adults) are available with suggestions for different priorities for gifts and daily life, that may help reduce the pressure on ourselves and the earth’s precious resources. Families are all different, so please adapt the calendars to suit your own needs & lifestyles, and share your ideas with family and friends. Perhaps you can then find a new liveSimply tradition for celebrating Christmas together.
